Chapter 26+ Group

In May, 2021, the U.S.-Mexico Foundation (USMF) hosted the C26+ Workshop with the support of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Institute. This online event addressed topics surrounding North American competitiveness in the 21st Century.

These policy-briefs summarize the main insights made by the speakers and give a quick look at the work that the C26+ Working Group is doing, a multi-stakeholder forum that make policy-recommendations and follows up the implementation of USMCA, while advancing initiatives that foster competitiveness in the region and creating a trinational community on innovation, entrepreneurship & technology.

Towards a true U.S.-Mexico Smart Border

The C26+ Smart Borders Working Group met in July 2021 to discuss and create actionable recommendations for policy makers and the private sector towards building a U.S.-Mexico Smart Border, thereby, increasing the region’s competitiveness. .

A North American Digital Economy

The C26+ Digital Economy Working Group met in August 2021 to discuss and create actionable recommendations for policy makers and the private sector towards seizing digitalization in North America, particularly in Mexico, increasing the region’s competitiveness.

A Stronger Binational Ecosystem

The C26+ Entrepreneurship & Innovation Working Group met in October 2021 to discuss and create actionable recommendations for policymakers and the private sector towards strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem and sparking innovation in Mexico and the U.S.
